Editorial Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
Moruk, LLC publishes the articles in the Etymology blog as editorial reference material. These articles are separate from the live lookup tool, which produces AI assisted results on demand.
Research and sourcing
Articles should rely on historical dictionaries, documented quotations, scholarly reference works, and reputable linguistic databases. Each article includes a visible source section. When an origin is disputed or unknown, the article should say so directly rather than promote a memorable folk explanation.
Review and corrections
Editorial content is checked for unsupported certainty, misleading folklore, and consistency with the cited sources. Material corrections should update the article and its modification date. Readers can report a possible error to hi@moruk.co.
AI assisted lookups
Live results may contain mistakes or omissions. They are learning aids, not definitive academic sources. Important claims should be checked against trusted references. See the Terms of Use for the complete service disclaimer.
